At the finish line.......Morgan, Holli, me, Phil and Steve, missing 3 of our team members.
A few weeks ago at our ward campout I was approached to be on a bike relay team with a few of my neighbors. The route goes from Salt Lake to Saint George a.k.a "Salt to Saint" in a 24 hour period. I was reluctant at first but then decided I should do something crazy for once in my life. So the team was gathered the week before and I picked what legs I thought I could do out of the 24 legs. In the end I did 3 legs. The first was 18.2 miles which I finished in 1 hr 4 min. The 2nd leg I did 22.4 miles in 1 hr 7 min. The last leg I did 15.3 miles in 1 hr 20 min. I was soooo done after that last leg. I rode it just after midnight, its was so cold, windy and dark. I'm glad I had a nice bright light to light my way through the darkness though. It was a fun exprience and I would definitely do it again! The group that I went with were so awesome and really good and a lot of fun to be with. Hopefully next year I can do it with David. My poor husband has a bad knee that needs to be looked at. So hopefully by then it will be better.
Looks like Im not even going anywhere in this pic, but Im going 22 mph here.
Our team captain Morgan Mathews. He's not giving the peace sign in this pic hes saying we are number 2!
We finished 430 miles in 23:23:18. We took 10th place out of 61 teams and 2nd place out of the 8 man relay teams. Woot Woot

Holli and Jace again
One of our poor team members biffed it big time the last 1/4 of a mile from the finish line. He was bookin it around a corner goin 45mph. The bike went out under him and he slid across the road all the way to the sidewalk. He got up and handed our tracker to another team member to ride on, then blacked out. His friends took him the the hospital where all they could find after all the tests were just horrid road rashes. Poor guy he was in so much pain when they brought him back to the house, even with the pain meds. Hes a trooper though and will recover with some awesome scars.
